MOOCs

A massive open online course (MOOC ) is an online course aimed at unlimited participation and open access via the web. In addition to traditional course materials such as filmed lectures, readings, and problem sets, many MOOCs provide interactive user forums to support community interactions among students, professors, and teaching assistants (TAs). MOOCs are a recent and widely researched development in distance education which were first introduced in 2006 and emerged as a popular mode of learning in 2012.

People all over the world can join this platform. Whether you are interested in computer science, languages, engineering, psychology, writing, electronics, biology, or marketing, so you can deside what course do you want to have.They were founded by and continue to be governed by colleges and universities. They are the only leading MOOC provider that is both nonprofit and open source.Open edX is the open-source platform and is freely available. With Open edX , educators and technologists can build learning tools and contribute new features to the platform, creating innovative solutions to benefit students everywhere.

Anyone with an email address can enroll in a course on Canvas Network. Canvas may offer a certificate of participation or completion. What I liked the most about this resource is the fact that there are so many free courses to choose from.

Each course is an interactive guide that contains videos, tests and projects. Start at any time and work on your own schedule — you control the process yourself. There are a lot of courses that you can choose. You also can communicate with thousands of other students: discuss ideas, course materials, and help each other to learn new concepts. After completing the course, you will receive sertificate and share your success with friends, colleagues and employers.

I really like the site Coursera. The design is very convenient and it's easy to find the course you like.
